Alchemy Leveling Guide: Alchemy 1-450

This guide will help you to level your Alchemy from 1 to 450. It’s going to require a lot of herbs, so you are going to need to buy them, or take up herbalism as well to be able to supply your own. Alchemy and Herbalism go well together, as one will feed to materials for the other. 

One of the first steps is to assemble the raw materials you will need. The herbs can often be found on the auction house, if you don’t gather them yourself. The draw back of buying the materials is it will be very expensive. You will also need to pick up vials. These can be purchased at a alchemy supply NPC for a minimal cost.

As with all things in WoW that is some degree of uncertainty. At various times you may need to make a couple more or less than what is listed here.

First of all go to any Alchemy Trainer in the Captial Cities and learn Apprentice Alchemy. If you don't know where they are just get directions from a guard.

Go to Shattrath City and visit the Alchemy Trainer and get trained up.

Alchemist Kanhu located in Shattrath City at 38,30 Aldor Rise.
Aelthin located in Shattrath City at 38,71 Scryer's Tier.

Create 15 Major Healing Potion

You will need:

Create 10 Volatile Healing Potion

Alchemy 310-325
Create 15 Elixir of Healing Power

Alchemy Specialization
Visit the Alchemy Trainer and get the Master of Potions quest to choose your specialty: Potion, Elixir or Transmutation. You can only select one specialization. Requires level 68.

Create 10 Mad Alchemist's Potion

You will need:

Create 5 Super Healing Potion

You will need:

Alchemy 340-360
Create 20 Super Mana Potion
Recipe sold by Haalrun located at 67,48 in Telredor in Zangarmarsh.

Train Grand Master Alchemy
At this point you will need to go to Northrend to visit a trainer, and pick up your new recipies.

Neutral:

Linzy Blackbolt - 42,32 in Dalaran.

Create 5 Icy Mana Potion

You will need:

Alchemy 365-375
Create 10 Spellpower Elixir

You will need:

Alchemy 375-380
Create 5 Pygmy Oil

You will need:

Alchemy 380-385
Create 5 Potion of Nightmares

Create 15 Elixir of Mighty Strength
You will probably have to make more than 15 of these, but keep going until you get to 400 skill.

Alchemy 400-405
At this point you need to perform Northrend Alchemy Research.

You will need:
10 x Goldclover
10 x Adder's Tongue
4 x Talandra's Rose
4 x Imbued Vial

If you discover Potion of Speed you can make them all the way to 415. Here are the needed mats:

Create 15 Potion of Speed

You will need:
30 x Adder's Tongue
15 x Pygmy Oil
15 x Imbued Vial

If you do not discover Potion of Speed then follow the instructions below:

Create 5 Elixir of Mighty Agility
You will probably need to make more than this if you are forced to go this route, so be prepared.

You will need:
10 x Goldclover

Alchemy 405-410
Create 5 Runic Healing Potion

You will need:
5 x Goldclover
10 x Icethorn
5 x Imbued Vial

Alchemy 410-425
Create 15 Runic Mana Potion
This goes green at 422. Keep making these until you hit 425.
I cannot give an accurate mats count for this beacuse of this reason.

Create 10 Transmute: Earthsiege Diamond

You will need:

Alchemy 435-450
You have multiple choices here. Create any combination of these you want. Each will take you all the way to 450.

Create 15 Flask of the Frost Wyrm

You will need:
75 x Icethorn
75 x Lichbloom

Create 15 Flask of Stoneblood
